Entrepreneurial Characteristics and Friendship within Entrepreneurial Teams

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this paper is to personally reflect on my experiences over the course of the Master in Entrepreneurship programme at Lund University 2010 – 2011. This paper explores character traits of entrepreneurs as well as friendship within entrepreneurial teams. Various research articles and theories on entrepreneurship in general, entrepreneurs’ character traits and friendship are presented. The research articles and theories are then linked to data. The data is derived from an auto-ethnographic observation of my experiences during my studies. TrackIT is a project group that consists of four Master in Entrepreneurship students from diverse academic backgrounds that came together to work on a mobile positioning project. Those four students have complementary skills; while one is more of a theorist, another one is more of an activist. Their friendship created an efficient working environment. None of TrackIT’s members is pursuing the project beyond June 2011, which might indicate that they are not risk takers after all.
