Sammanfattning: This essay is about investigating and analyzing if Sweden could strengthen the protection for workers when it comes to questions relating to employment wages, by introducing extended collective agreements. This will be done by comparing Sweden's and Finland's systems of collective agreements, how they are constructed and what's specific for each country. The countries in question are very similar to eachother because they are a part of the Nordic model. The model is characterize by the key role of collective agreement in labour law as well as the strong and independent position of the collective agreements. The biggest difference I found was how the countries have chosen to regulate the legal effects of unorganized employers and workers, that Sweden's coverage of collective agreements begins to fall can be seen as a serious threat to the Swedish model.
