Sammanfattning: PostNord is a government owned postal service company in Sweden and Denmark. Peoples’ increased usage of internet has highly affected the use of the postal service. In order to adapt the company to the current competition and efficiency demands, PostNord is modernizing the company. The new model that PostNord is implementing is called the Integrated production model. For the local postal delivery offices, this leads to centralization, integrating new technology and new working methods. The purpose of this master thesis is to examine how these changes affect the employees, how to get support from the employees and how to make the transition as smooth as possible. By studying the implementation in one city, learn from that process and complement with relevant research, PostNord will receive advice on how to make a successful transition. The study also develop a general model for company’s on what steps to take during a implementation to perform a successful transition that considers the employees. The study suggests a few points that should be considered when a change is implemented to get a successful process where the employees are prioritized. Communication and support to the employees are the most important things during the whole process. It is also essential to involve the employees in the process. When finishing the process new technology and new working methods are necessary to keep on adapting and developing.
