Sårbarhet i komplexa system – Modellutveckling och sårbarhetsanalys av det svenska järnvägssystemet

Sammanfattning: This report is a master thesis at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. The aim of this report is to develop a model with which the Swedish railway network can be simulated and to use this model to perform a vulnerability analysis of the railway system. Furthermore, this report discusses how this kind of vulnerability analysis fits in to the generic risk management process. Finally, a short comparison between vulnerability analysis by using modelling and simulation and vulnerability analysis by using network centrality measurements is made. The result shows how and where the Swedish railway network is vulnerable to losing functionality in tracks between stations. The result also shows low correlation between results for the two different kinds of vulnerability analyses.
