Studien har utgått ifrån historiska puckellaxobservationer, definitiva och partiella vandringshinder, elfiske av atlantlax, medelvattenföring och area för att undersöka vattendragens potential som spridningsvägar. In the cold season, when the temperature of water decreases to below zero, water can be frozen and different types of ice will be generated. While landscape archaeology previously to a large degree has been focused on phenomenology and studies of symbolic landscapes, this thesis tries to emphasise the importance of the land itself.
