    Sammanfattning : This thesis will analyze samples in form of cross-sections taken from four icons of the Nationalmuseum collection, two Russian, from the 18th and 19th centuries and two Greek, also from the 18th and 19th centuries, using the Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Technique. The objective is to detect, isolate and, if possible, identify the amino acids and the fatty acids in the protein and lipids used in the tempera, the ground, and the olifa using Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry.     Sammanfattning : In a well-known verse Swedish eighteenth century writer Anna Maria Lenngren advise her fictive daughter to avoid reding, since it might distract her from her household chores. This paper intends to examine attitudes towards women’s reading in eighteenth century Sweden, using different kinds of sources: Satirical verses, conduct books for girls and young women and genre paintings by Swedish painter Pehr Hilleström, depicting bourgeoise and aristocratic interiors.     Sammanfattning : Abstract: Carl Linnaeus’s dissertation Inebriantia (1762) emerges as a transitional piece at the intersection of the early modern and the modern period, reflecting 18th-century beliefs about inebriation, the natural world, and its mysterious forces. This study explicates Linnaeus’s perspective on the interaction between plants and human mental states by addressing the question: How does Linnaeus perceive the relationship between plants and the human mind in Inebriantia? Drawing on the history of emotions and senses, Linnaeus’s conceptualization of altered states of consciousness and the role of non-human actants in shaping human mental states is explored. LÄS MER
