  1. 1. Estimating Diffusion Tensor Distributions With Neural Networks

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Algebra, geometri och diskret matematik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Rimaz Nismi; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Diffusion; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; MRI; Neural Networks; Optimal transport; Earth mover s distance; Sinkhorn distance;

    Sammanfattning : Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an essential healthcare technology, with diffusion MRI being a specialized technique. Diffusion MRI exploits the inherent diffusion of water molecules within the human body to produce a high-resolution tissue image. An MRI image contains information about a 3D volume in space, composed of 3D units called voxels. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Design of a 2-D Lattice Flower Constellation for Earth observation applying the twin satellite concept

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Julia Martín-Fuertes Brañas; [2023]
    Nyckelord :2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; number of satellites; number of planes; revisit time; coverage; optimized constellation; target list; twin satellite concept; FreeFlyer; 2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; antal satelliter; antal plan; återbesökstid; täckning; optimerad konstellation; mållista; tvilling-satellit-koncept; FreeFlyer;

    Sammanfattning : Events such as forest fires or floods are a danger to our Earth’s environment and the people living in it. The sooner they can be detected, the less damage they can cause. An idea arises: use satellites to monitor the Earth and relay information to prevention and rescue organizations in a very short time, regardless of accessibility from ground. LÄS MER

  3. 3. A Multi-camera based Next Best View Approach for Semantic Scene Understanding

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Anton Persson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Next Best View; NBV; Semantic Scene Understanding; Robotics;

    Sammanfattning : Robots are becoming more common; robotics has gone from bleeding-edge technology to an everyday topic that families discuss around thedinner table.The number of robots in the industry is growing, which means thatthe demand and need for robots to understand the environment it isworking in is also growing. 4. 4. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Nyckelord :super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 5. 5. Quality enhancement of time-resolved computed tomography scans with cycleGAN

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Johannes Stubbe; [2023]
    Nyckelord :carbon fibers; carbon fibres; microfibers; tomography; deep learning; cycleGAN; time-resolved tomography; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Time-resolved x-ray tomography enables us to dynamically and non-destructively study the interior of a specimen. The obtainable temporal resolution is limited by the x-ray flux and the desired spatial resolution. LÄS MER
