1. Morphological study of PS/PMMA-matrix on glass, related to vapour pressure, mass-fraction, and size
Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörs- och kemivetenskaper (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The objective of this study is to observe how changing amount or ratio between dried mixes of poly-methyl-methacrylate and poly-styrene change the surface appearance, and how the results might inform future design of Organic photovoltaic cells, whom are based on polymer mixtures and heavenly dependent on the arrangement of polymers. An atomic force microscope was used on glass surfaces coated in a poly-methyl-methacrylate/poly-styrene matrix and dried from either dichloromethane or ethyl-acetate to determine surface appearance. 2. Experimental studies of radiation damage in uranium nitride
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : The effect of proton (H+) irradiation on uranium mononitride (UN) and UN compositefuel with 10 at.% ZrN (UN10at%ZrN) was examined. Protons of 2 MeV with fluences of1E17, 1E18, 1E19 and 1E20 ions/cm2 were accelerated towards the fabricated samples in orderto investigate the evolution of the micro-structure. LÄS MER
3. Comparison and optimization of extracellular vesicle (EV) capturing on functional thin films for their molecular profiling
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are lipid bilayer encapsulated nanoparticles which have emerged as an excellent source of biomarkers for multiple diseases, including cancer. However, they are highly heterogeneous in their molecular compositions which remains a major challenge hindering the utilization of their biomarker potential. LÄS MER
4. The Magnetocaloric Effect in Antiferromagnetic and Noncollinear Magnets
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/MaterialteoriSammanfattning : The magnetocaloric effect (MCE) is the temperature change in a magnetic material due to a change in an applied magnetic field. How the MCE behaves in different magnetic materials and at different phase transitions is fundamental to understand. LÄS MER
5. 3D Coating of Interface Materials for High-Performance RF Passive Devices
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : The demand for high-performance Radio Frequency (RF) passive devices has been steadily increasing due to the growing complexity and sophistication of wireless communication systems. The Quality factor (Q-factor) is a key parameter for describing the signal losses and the energy efficiency of resonators. LÄS MER
