21. Measuring the [C II]-to-H I connection in high-redshift absorption-selected galaxies
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : HI neutral gas is the basic building block of galaxies. It dictates the star formation rate and hence the metal enrichment rates within high redshift galaxies. HI neutral gas cannot be directly observed beyond z ≈ 0. LÄS MER
22. An Infrared Stellar Thermometer
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : Infrared (IR) spectroscopy has many advantages over optical, one of which is allowing us to see through intergalactic dust, letting us probe deeper into space and dust-dense regions such as galactic centers. However the investigating the IR spectral range is a relatively new field, owing to recent developments in detector technology, and stellar parameter determination in IR is not well researched. 23. Biomimetically improved materials comprising microfibrillated cellulose
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Kemiska institutionenSammanfattning : Microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) is a renewable, cellulosic material mainly producedfrom wood fibers, which are found in the secondary cell walls of plant cells. With theincreased demand for renewable biopolymer films in packaging, MFC has emerged asa potential alternative to non-renewable polymer films. LÄS MER
24. Recovery of Cobalt and Copper from Zambia Slag via Sulphidisation with Gypsum
Master-uppsats, KTH/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : The main objective of this research was to recover copper and cobalt from slags coming from copper processing on the Copperbelt province of Zambia. Pyrometallurgical processing of copper sulphide concentrate generates huge tonnes of slag wastes. LÄS MER
25. A photodegradation study of conjugated polymers for organic solar cells by absorption spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The effect of light exposure in ambient air on thin films made from an electron acceptor polymer poly{[N,N'-bis(2-octyldodecyl)naphthalene-1,4,5,8-bis(dicarboximide)-2,6-diyl]-alt-5,5'-(2,2'-bithiophene)} (N2200), an electron donor polymer Poly[[2,3-bis(3-octyloxyphenyl)-5,8-quinoxalinediyl]-2,5-thiophenediyl] (TQ1) and their blends, has been studied using UV-vis spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). For solutions of TQ1, N2200 and blends, the linearity of the Beer-Lambert law for absorption spectroscopy has been verified. LÄS MER
