  1. 1. Beyond Traditional Tomography: X-ray Multi-projection Imaging for Additive Manufacturing

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Maria Esther Vilar Alvarez; [2023]
    Nyckelord :X-ray tomography; X-ray multiprojection-imaging; deep learning; additive manufacturing; synchrotron radiation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to push the limits of 3D X-ray imaging by studying the minimum number of projections required to retrieve high-quality reconstructions for additive manufacturing processes. This project first focuses on understanding how X-ray tomography works, by reconstructing additive manufacturing data already obtained (from PSI, TOMCAT beamline) using two standard reconstruction algorithms, GRIDREC and SIRT. 2. 2. Omkonstruktion av vapenfäste till additiv tillverkning

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Jönköping/JTH, Industriell produktutveckling, produktion och design

    Författare :Joakim Karlsen; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Additiv tillverkning; AM; SLM;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis project has been carried out in collaboration with Saab training and simulation in Huskvarna, which manufactures military training products. The aim of the project was to investigate the possibility of using additive manufacturing as the method for future manufacturing for the small arms transmitter bracket (SAT-bracket, a bracket for gun) to reduce lead time, cost and weight. 3. 3. Development and Evaluation of a Tomographic Technique for Volumetric Imaging of Flames

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik

    Författare :David Sanned; [2018]
    Nyckelord :3D-Tomography; Additive Reconstruction Technique; Space Carving; Machine Vision Cameras; Imaging of Flame Models; Technology and Engineering; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : With modern day interest to continue the reduction of harmful emissions and improve the efficiency of combustion devices, the need to further improve upon accuracy and ability to describe combustive processes is of high value. Nowadays, multiple capable point (0D) and two-dimensional measurement (2D) techniques exist for flame investigation, however as combustion nearly always is a three-dimensional (3D) process some limitations do exist within many of these techniques. 4. 4. Influence of Sample Preparation on Portable XRF-analyses of Aeolian Sediments: a Case Study

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Markus L. Fiola; [2017]
    Nyckelord :portable XRF; loess; sediment; bärbar XRF; lössjord; sediment;

    Sammanfattning : The geochemical composition of aeolian sediments like windblown dust particles is of major importance for the exploration of dust origin and weathering conditions. This allows for the reconstruction of dust transport pathways and thus wind directions and palaeoclimate conditions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Investigation of Algebraic Reconstruction Techniques for Tomographic Measurements on Spent Nuclear Fuel Assemblies

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för strålningsvetenskap

    Författare :Tobias Lundqvist; [2004]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : A non-destructive tomographic measurement technique for application on nuclear fuel assemblies has beendeveloped at the Uppsala University. Using this technique, the rod-by-rod distribution of selectedradioactive isotopes is determined experimentally. LÄS MER
