    Sammanfattning : In this study, the characteristics of the flow around a paraglider wing were investigated through the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations by solving both Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations and Delayed Detached Eddy Simulations were employed. This allowed the observation of how the unique shape of the canopy of a paraglider can influence the behaviour of the flow and how aerodynamic hysteresis can manifest on this sort of wing. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Being able to accurately approximate outputs of computationally expensive simulations for arbitrary input parameters, also called missing points estimation, is central in many different areas of research and development with applications ranging from uncertainty propagation to control system design to name a few. This project investigates the potential of kernel transformations and nonlinear autoencoders as methods of improving the accuracy of the proper orthogonal decomposition method combined with regression. If the distance is too short between the aircraftand warhead during burst, fragments may hit the aircraft with fatal consequences.
