   Sammanfattning : The first three US Presidents of the century have, to say the least, had differing views concerning the nature of climate change and how this issue is addressed most appropriately – as noted by the fact that the issue has gone back and forth between being a security issue and basically disappearing from the security agenda altogether. In order to shine a light on how this has happened, this study aims to investigate President Bush, Obama and Trump's rhetoric on climate change through a discourse analysis based on the securitization theory of the Copenhagen School.
