  1. 1. The Effect of Citric Acid on Amorphous Calcium Carbonate, Mesoporous Magnesium Carbonate and Calcium Magnesium Composite : A brief study

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Nanoteknologi och funktionella material

    Författare :Abbas Jafari; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Carbonate Materials; Porous Materials; Carbon Dioxid Sorption; Point Sources; Amorphous Calcium Carbonate; Mesoporouse Magnesium Carbonate; Calcium Magnesium Carbonate Composite;

    Sammanfattning : During the past decades, emission of greenhouse gases has accelerated to unsustainable levels. This is a serious issue that can have a devastating impact on everything from global economy to the terrestrial or marine ecosystem. A method for reducing the emission is named carbon capture and storage, which this project is based on. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Point source carbon capture by porous inorganic carbonates

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Nanoteknologi och funktionella material

    Författare :Jonas Hultberg; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Carbon capture; Gas separation; Adsorbent; Inorganic carbonates; Point source; Carbon dioxide; Kolavskiljning; Adsorbenter; Oorganiska karbonater; Punktkälla; Koldioxid;

    Sammanfattning : Mesoporous inorganic carbonates (MIC) was synthesized and tested as adsorbents for CO2, using vacuum and temperature swing adsorption. Mesoporous magnesium carbonate (MMC), mesoporous calcium carbonate (MCC) and mesoporous calcium magnesium carbonate (MCMC), all included in MIC, are exceedingly porous with an amorphous structure. 3. 3. Spatiotemporal reconstructions of black carbon, organic matter and heavy metals in coastal records of south-west Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Marcus Rudolf; [2016]
    Nyckelord :organic matter; spheroidal carbonaceous particles; black carbon; geology; physical geography; Ecosystem analysis; heavy metals; coastal sediments; Sweden; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study presents reconstructions of black carbon (BC), including spheroidal and amorphous carbonaceous particles (SCP and ACP), organic matter (OM; total organic carbon, TOC; total nitrogen, TN; total sulfur, TS), and heavy metals (Fe, Zn, Pb, Cu, As and Hg) in coastal sediments off the south-west coast of Sweden. Sediment records from eight stations along a north-south transect off the south-west of Sweden were retrieved. LÄS MER
