  1. 1. Biogas Potential in the North of Sweden : Inventory and Techno-Economic Assessment of Substrates for an Increased Biogas Production in Norrbotten

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Alma Fahlén Hammar; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Biogas; anaerobic digestion; AD; Norrland; bioenergy; fossil-free; chemical engineering; Chemistry; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Great investments are planned in the north of Sweden the coming years, not the least in the county of Norrbotten where the projects collectively are referred to as the green transition due to the focus on fossil-free techniques. But to be able to secure a sustainable energy supply and reach the goal set by the member states of the European Union of a carbon dioxide neutral union in 2050 the production of alternative energy sources needs to intensify. 2. 2. Anaerobic digestion in continuous stirred tank reactors and plug flow reactors: : Comparison study concerning process performance

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Kemiteknik

    Författare :Zeko Kocak; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Anaerobic digestion; municipal waste; continuous stirred tank reactor; plug flow reactor; biogas; Anaerob rötning; kommunalt avfall; kontinuerlig omrörd tankreaktor; pluggflödesreaktor; biogas;

    Sammanfattning : Användningen av kommunalt avfall för att producera förnybar energi, huvudsaklig biogas, uppfyller 8 av Sveriges 16 miljökvalitetsmål. Två typer av rötningsprocesser som används är kontinuerligt omrörda tankreaktorer (CSTR) och pluggflödesreaktorer (PFR). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Design of a Polygeneration system in Filipinas ETCR, Colombia

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Germán Ropero Pérez; [2021]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This project has addressed the design of a cost-effective Polygeneration system that guarantees a continuous, equitable and environmentally friendly energy supply for the rural settlement of Filipinas ETCR, (in Spanish, Espacios Territoriales de Capacitación y Reincorporación) Colombia, which is currently not achieved, due to a system that relies on the national electricity grid (with numerous outages) and on LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and wood to meet the thermal demand, mainly for cooking. For this purpose, in addition to the current energy supply situation, the energy demand according to type (electricity and heat) and sector (residential, commercial and agro-livestock) is characterized. 5. 5. Stabilizing biogas processes at high ammonia : effects of acetate pulse-feeding on the microbial population

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Department of Molecular Sciences

    Författare :Oscar Dolk; [2020]
    Nyckelord :biogas; anaerobic digestion; ammonia inhibition; acetate enrichment;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigated the problem of ammonia inhibition in biogas reactors, commonly occurring when protein rich substrates are used in anaerobic digestion processes. Ammonia inhibition is one of the foremost causes of failure in anaerobic digestion, leading to process instability, with symptoms commonly expressed as; reduction in biogas produced, decreased methane content in the gas and accumulation of volatile fatty acids.
