    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether or not the producer surplus calculated in Swedish cost benefit analyses correlate with the actual outcome in a satisfying way. In order to do this the electrification of Blekinge coastal railway in southern Sweden is examined by looking at the two parts of the producer surplus, the income generated by, and the cost of producing the service.
