Studien har granskat två föreningar som under de senare åren på ett eller annat sätt varit i svåra kriser som haft ödesdigra konsekvenser. Utifrån detta har den undersökt hur den strategiska kommunikationen tillämpats, hur kommunikationen under kris har sett ut samt om dessa kriser haft någon påverkan på relationen till den lokala kommunen.
