Reconociendo que el desastre ecológico afecta a las mujeres de manera desproporcionada, esta tesina emplea un análisis literario ecofeminista para examinar dos novelas en las que la trama principal está impulsada por una crisis ecológica causada por la contaminación.     Sammanfattning : The gated community motif occurs frequently within climate and environmental disaster fiction. This thesis investigates its occurrence across three media to establish how the gated community mode of living, as rendered in post-apocalyptic speculative fiction, responds to the threat and consequences of climate and environmental crisis.     Sammanfattning : One common phenomenon in literature is the use of epigraphs both at the beginning of a work and before the start of a chapter. Although the use of epigraphs is common in literary works, the purpose and function might differ; not only due to different intentions by authors but as claimed by French literary scholar Gerard Genette, the effect also relies on the interpretation of the reader.
