    Sammanfattning : The thesis examines the prospects of using the superconductor NbN as the gatemetal for an InP HEMT. A HEMT or High Electron Mobility Transistor is aheterostructure transistor engineered to reach very high electron mobility.     Sammanfattning : In this work, I propose a hybrid particle simulator for charged particles. The simulator consists of a physics-informed neural network, which can handle arbitrary external electric fields with continuous coordinates by solving the Poisson equation, and a graph-based algorithm that computes the interacting forces between the particles.     Sammanfattning : Accurately determining the solar abundance of beryllium is a key to calibrate transport processes at the base of convective zone, which in turn is an improvement upon existing solar models and general understanding of the physical processes within the Sun.
