1. Mängden död ved i värdekärnor i Söderåsens nationalpark
Master-uppsats, SLU/Southern Swedish Forest Research CentreSammanfattning : There is a lack of knowledge about the development of the dead wood in former production beech (Fagus sylvatica) forests that have been protected. The present study has been carried out in Söderåsen National Park to compare the distribution of dead wood in relatively unaffected beech forests that have been protected for a long time (A-value cores) and older, previously managed beech forest that has only been protected for 20-30 years (B-value cores). 2. Plant-soil feedbacks in boreal tree species
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and ManagementSammanfattning : Plant-soil feedback (PSF) is important for understanding how plants influence the composition and abundance of soil biota and nutrients and how this affects plant growth. The plant economic spectrum (PES) also plays a role. LÄS MER
3. Analysis of relatedness and genetic diversity in Swedish sheep breeds using medium density (50K) SNP data
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Breeding and GeneticsSammanfattning : The local Swedish sheep breeds belong to a group of sheep breeds known as North European short-tailed sheep breeds. Evaluation of genetic diversity, relatedness, and population structure of local breeds offers crucial metrics to prevent inbreeding depression, genetic erosion, and crossbreeding between locally adapted and exotic sheep breeds since these occurrences can have detrimental effects and ultimately lead to extinction. 4. Relatedness and diversity in Swedish local chicken breeds using mitochondrial DNA D-loop sequences and SNP data
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Breeding and GeneticsSammanfattning : Genetic diversity is the variation in genetic information carried by individuals within a species or population. This variability plays a crucial role in enabling species to adapt and survive in changing environments and is essential for evolutionary processes. LÄS MER
5. Exploring electroweak symmetry breaking in the scale-invariant Two-Higgs-Doublet Model
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : This thesis investigates the properties of a general scale-invariant Two-Higgs-Doublet Model and its phenomenological consequences with focus on the scalar sector. The concept suggests that introducing more CP-violation, both spontaneous and explicit, may make it possible to meet the Sakharov conditions and account for the Universe's baryon asymmetry. LÄS MER
