1. Symmetric alpha-Stable Adapted Demodulation and Parameter Estimation
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Signaler och systemSammanfattning : Transmission and reception of signals in wireless communication systems is affected by additive interference corrupting the signal. Traditionally, the interference is assumed to be AWGN and the system designs are usually based on that assumption. LÄS MER
2. Characterization of NI-USRP System
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för elektronik, matematik och naturvetenskapSammanfattning : Nowadays the rapid developments of wireless communication technologies there are more and more ways to look into the RF measurements and designs in detail such as Universal Software Radio Peripheral(USRP) from LabVIEW, Advance Design System(ADS),etc. Moreover a lack of measurements what compared with different digital modulation schemes is becoming a problem. 3. Signal Classification Implemented by Wavelet Analysis and Support Vector Machine
Master-uppsats, Avdelningen för elektronik, matematik och naturvetenskapSammanfattning : In this thesis, a method for signal classification has been developed and implemented on the platform of Matlab and Libsvm, which combines the techniques of wavelet analysis and support vector machine. The whole process is divided into three stages i.e. Signal Generation, Feature Extraction and Classification. LÄS MER
4. Suppression of impulsive noise in wireless communication
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för elektronik, matematik och naturvetenskapSammanfattning : This report intends to verify the possibility that the FastICA algorithm could be applied to the GPS system to eliminate the impulsive noise from the receiver end. As the impulsive noise is so unpredictable in its pattern and of great energy level to swallow the signal we need, traditional signal selection methods exhibit no much use in dealing with this problem. 5. Frequency Noise in Widely Tunable Lasers for Coherent Communication
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för informations- och kommunikationsteknik (ICT)Sammanfattning : The objectives of this thesis are to measure the frequency noise of a widely tunable semiconductor laser, determine the main causes for the frequency uctuations and investigate the requirements for laser frequency noise for mQAM modulation formats by means of simulations. The following theoretical aspects are covered: the derivation of the frequency noise spectrum and the detuned loading effect from the rate equations; the shape and the causes of the frequency noise power spectral density; the derivation of the linewidth spectrum from white and 1/f frequency noise; the functionality of the laser and feedback loop used for the measurements.
