16. Prediction of the machine tool errors under quasi-static load : Developing methodology through the synthesis of bottom-up and top-down modeling approach
Master-uppsats, KTH/Industriell produktionSammanfattning : One of the biggest challenges in the manufacturing industry is to increase the understanding of the sources of the errors and their effects on machining systems accuracy. In this thesis a new robust empirical evaluation method is developed to predict the machine tool errors under quasi-static load including the effect of the variation of stiffness in the workspace, the geometric and the kinematic errors. 17. Design and Manufacturing of Pneumatic Test Stand for Rod-less Cylinder vertical application
Master-uppsats, Fluida och mekatroniska system; Tekniska högskolanSammanfattning : Within LiU Fluid laboratory there had been a number of hydraulic and pneumatic test stands for research projects and teaching. The effort was needed to do more extension within the field of pneumatics. This thesis was about designing, manufacturing, building and testing the Test Stand for vertical application of pneumatic rodless cylinder. LÄS MER
18. Non-reacting fuel spray simulations under direct diesel engine conditions
Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaperSammanfattning : Because of the increasing demand of low polluting and efficient diesel engines, numerous studies related to the different processes that take place in them are being carried out. This study treats the direct injection of fuel at high pressures (c.a. 1500 bar). LÄS MER
19. CFD analyses of the gas flow inside the vessel of a hot isostatic press
Master-uppsats, KTH/Kraft- och värmeteknologiSammanfattning : Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) is a thermal treatment method that is used to consolidate, densify or bondcomponents and materials. Argon gas is commonly used as the pressure medium and is isostaticallyapplied to the material with an excess pressure of 500-2000 bar and a temperature of 500-2200oC. LÄS MER
20. Controls of seafloor depth on hydrothermal vent temperatures : prediction, observation & 2D finite element modeling
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : Circulation of hot hydrothermal fluids in fractures and faults of the oceanic crust is driven by temperature and pressure gradients. Fluid discharge is focused to vertical structures, black or white smoker chimneys on the seafloor. Hydrothermal vent temperatures should hypothetically be directly related to water depth. LÄS MER
