    Sammanfattning : This study is based on nine interviews with counsellors in habilitation and education as well as teachers in special schools, with the goal of studying the extent to which the theoretical models of normalization - as formulated by Bengt Nirje (2003) and Wolf Wolfensberger (1972) - apply to their daily work of supporting and preparing mentally retarded youngsters for transition to adult life. The conclusion is that the approaches of the staff are more in line with the principle formulated by Nirje, even though Wolfensberger's principle is clearly dis-cernible as well. LÄS MER
