  1. 1. Hydrogen application of ball valve : An ERIKS case study

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Produktionsutveckling

    Författare :Lucas Snijder; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Hydrogen; Ballvalves; EPDM; O-ring;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the hydrogen application of ball valves. The approach taken was that of a gap analysis where the current situation at ball valve manufacturer ERIKS is considered as a starting point and the desired situation is a ball valve for hydrogen applications. 2. 2. Augmented Reality-Assisted Techniques for Sustainable Lithium-Ion EV Battery Dismantling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Diana Cristina Culincu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Augmented Reality; Electric Vehicle Batteries; Lithium-Ion Batteries; Battery Dismantling; Battery Disassembly; Battery Recycling; Photogrammetry; 3D modelling; 3D Reconstruction; Vuforia; Unity; Blender; Figma; Polycam; Sustainability; Förstärkt verklighet; Batterier för elektriska fordon; Litiumjonbatterier; Batteriavmontering; Batteriuppdelning; Batteriåtervinning; Fotogrammetri; 3Dmodellering; 3D-rekonstruktion; Vuforia; Unity; Blender; Figma; Polycam; Hållbarhet;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) brings forth the challenge of effectively managing the second-life and end-of-life cycles for lithium-ion batteries. Augmented Reality (AR) offers a promising solution to sustainably and efficiently dismantle these batteries. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Design of compact automotive heat exchanger, analysing the effects of RANS models and utilising Additive Manufacturing

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Nikhil Srikkanth; Bartosz Brzuchalski; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Turbulence; Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes; KTH Formula Student; metal additive manufacturing; CFD; turbulent kinetic energy; boundary layer;

    Sammanfattning : The analytical modelling of complex turbulent airflow remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of physics, but in this paper two widely used Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes models (k-$\epsilon$ and k-$\omega$ SST) are compared while designing a heat exchanger for the KTH Formula Student electric race car. CAD software was used to design lattices for the heat exchanger core and theorise about how to increase heat transfer while also taking into account the utilisation of metal additive manufacturing. 4. 4. Parametrisk modellering av pålgrupper: Koppling mellan Grasshopper och Sofistik

    M1-uppsats, KTH/Byggteknik och design

    Författare :Kimm Nordvall; Mikael Stenberg; [2022]
    Nyckelord :FEM; Finite elements; Parametric modelling; Sofistik; Grasshopper; Rhinoceros; Piling; FEM; Finita element; Parametrisk modellering; Sofistik; Grasshopper; Rhinoceros; Pålgrundläggning;

    Sammanfattning : Pålgrundläggning är en vanlig metod vid grundläggning där sämre markförhållanden råder. För broaroch andra anläggningskonstruktioner måste stora laster tas i beaktande, både horisontella ochvertikala. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development of a Design Tool in CAD for Fused Deposition Modelled Coolant Nozzles in Grinding : Design automation of coolant nozzles

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Produktrealisering

    Författare :Joachim Neguembor; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Design Automation; Fused Deposition Modelling; DOE; Grinding Coolant; Grinding Process; Coolant Supply in Grinding; Design of Experiment; Surrogate Model Optimization; Coolant Nozzle; Design Automering; Slipande Bearbetning; Kylvätskemunstycke;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis covers the process of automating the design of coolant nozzles used for cylindrical grinding. Coolant nozzles are used to supply coolant, an oil and water mixture used to cool the metal workpiece and lubricate the grinding wheel. In the automotive industry, grinding is used to reduce the surface roughness of the workpiece. LÄS MER
