2. To clear-cut or not to clear-cut; Cost-benefit analyses of post-fire management approaches in the Ljusdal fire-complex
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)Sammanfattning : Wildfires causes natural disturbances to ecosystems which can have potentially damaging results for ecosystem services and economic income from timber production. The post-fire management approach can be essential for the environmental work regarding the recovery of ecosystems and maintaining ecosystem services. LÄS MER
3. Renewables and electrification in Europe, A critical analysis
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Miljö- och energisystemSammanfattning : Electrification of processes has become the cornerstone of the strategy to decarbonise energy supply, especially in recent years. This study aims to define the main issues underlying the electrification of the European energy mix, especially those caused by an increasing share of intermittent energies. LÄS MER
4. Climate mitigation potential of the Swedish forest under different forest management regimes and levels of substitution effect
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The Swedish forest is currently being debated as to how it should be managed to provide climate mitigation. Forest management can contribute to climate mitigation in mainly two ways. LÄS MER
5. SUSTAINABLE LUBRICATION FOR FUTURE TRANSMISSIONS : Micropitting performance of Glycerol-based lubricants
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : Achieving sustainable lubrication by using environmentally friendly formulated lubricants has became an essential component of the transition process from fossil-powered vehicles to electrified transportation. Mixtures, or aqueous solutions of molecules such as polyhydroxy alcohols, and glycols usually known as green lubricants make it possible to achieve low friction coefficients under different lubrication conditions, which constitutes a potential alternative to improve the tribological performance of moving parts in automotive systems, at the same time that the environmental requirements are satisfied.
