   Sammanfattning : Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vad lärare har för erfarenheter av pengar som undervisningsmaterial samt hur pengar används i läroböcker och i vilka innehållsområden. Tre frågor formulerades för att besvara syftet: 1) Hur kan lärare använda sig av pengar i matematikundervisningen? 2) Vad har lärare för erfarenhet av hur elevernas lärande påverkas när pengar används i undervisningen? 3) Hur används pengar av läromedel och i vilka innehållsområden?För att besvara dessa frågor samlades data in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med arbetande lågstadielärare och genom en analys av matematikläroböcker.
