Master-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för lärande och samhälle (LS)Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to inquire into the thoughts of students of Swedish for Immi-grants suffering from PTSD as well as other psychosocial disorders and teachers of Swedish for immigrants relating to the importance of the relation of recognition to the creation of self-relation, which is defined by Honneth (2003) as ” the awareness or per-ception a person has of herself considering which abilities she has been dealt” (Honneth 2003:101).My research questions concern the thoughts and perceptions that teachers of SFI and students suffering from PTSD-related issues have concerning the core in and purpose of the SFI-education as well as what they perceive might facilitate and/or obstruct the de-velopment of a positive self-relation.
