1. Virtual H&E Staining Using PLS Microscopy and Neural Networks
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematik LTHSammanfattning : Histopathological examination, crucial in diagnosing diseases such as cancer, traditionally relies on time- and resource-consuming, poorly standardized chemical staining for tissue visualization. This thesis presents a novel digital alternative using generative neural networks and a point light source (PLS) microscope to transform unstained skin tissue images into their stained counterparts. 2. Construction and Evaluation of a Numerical Model for Heat Transfer in a Ladle During Pre-heating : A Finite Volume Approach to the Diffusion Equation using Julia
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : Heat transfer is key to understanding many processes in engineering. At a steel mill heat transfer is absolutely crucial to understanding most of the processes. One such a process is the pre-heating of a freshly relined ladle. LÄS MER
3. Evaluation of FMCW Radar Jamming Sensitivity
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Signaler och systemSammanfattning : In this work, the interference sensitivity of an FMCW radar has been evaluated by studying the impact on a simulated detection chain. A commercially available FMCW radar was first characterized and its properties then laid the foundation for a simulation model implemented in Matlab. LÄS MER
4. Design, production and in vitro evaluation of brain shuttle scFc-scFv8D3 affinity-mutants
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för farmaciSammanfattning : The blood brain barrier (BBB) is a challenge when developing monoclonal antibodies for neurological diseases as antibodies do not cross the BBB making brain distribution challenging. An antibody construct which binds mTfR1 to pass the BBB, scFc-scFv8D3, have previously been developed. LÄS MER
5. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntesSammanfattning : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes.
