   Sammanfattning : The Greater Capricorn beetle Cerambyx cerdo is an endangered species both in Sweden (CR) and internationally (VU). The substrate, old Oak, dropped heavily in numbers in Sweden during the 19th century, which left the beetle without suitable habitats.    Sammanfattning : This work was aimed at identifying the pheromone component(s) of the great Capricorn longhorn beetle (Cerambyx cerdo). Volatile samples from beetles were obtained by means of collection of headspace volatiles from the animals, and by direct solvent extraction of body parts, and analysed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and gas chromatography- Electroanntennography (GC-EAG).
