    Sammanfattning : Syftet med det här arbetet har varit att bidra med mer kunskap i vad gymnasieelever medhuvudinstrumentet elgitarr uttrycker i sina upplevelser och reflektioner kring det musikaliskamomentet improvisation analyserat utifrån ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv. I arbetet användes enkvalitativ forskningsmetod, bestående av en improvisation i form av ett jam som trigger samt ensemistrukturerad fokusgruppsintervju med två deltagare som gick i trean på det estetiskaprogrammet med inriktning musik och hade elgitarr som huvudinstrument.
