  1. 6. Formulation and characterisation of novel edible-packaging for fruits and vegetables

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Författare :Lola Sutton; Katerina Papa; [2023]
    Nyckelord :algae; edible packaging; carrageenan; cucumber; REL; oxidative stress; antioxidants; food engineering; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This master's thesis investigated the potential of algae raw materials, specifically k-carrageenan and to a lesser extent alginate, as film-forming ingredients for the development of a novel edible packaging solutions. The project involved the testing and characterisation of several active ingredients of algal and plant origins both as extracts and as ingredients in films. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Mono-X signal characterisation from two-component DarkMatter using Neural Networks

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Högenergifysik

    Författare :Max Fusté Costa; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In the recent decade, neural networks have become one of the leading tools in the search for the elusive nature of dark matter and its interactions through the analysis of numerically simulated data. This project introduces a minimal dark sector consisting of three additional fields and studies it through two mono-X signatures,mono-jet and mono-Z. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Conceptualisation, Implementation and Commissioning of a Controlled Pyrolysis Rig : KTH Master Thesis Report

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Arjun Monga; [2023]
    Nyckelord :coke deposition; pyrolysis; catalysis; methane; sample; cooling channels; regenerative cooling; rocket engines; koksavsättning; pyrolys; katalys; metan; prov; kylkanaler; regenerativ kylning; raketmotorer;

    Sammanfattning : Liquid methane has seen popular interest from industry and academia as a next-generation rocket fuel due to its favorable performance characteristics and potential for extra-terrestrial in-situ resource utilisation. Since the rocket combustion chamber and nozzle are subject to high heat loads, regenerative cooling is a standard method to achieve lower temperatures. LÄS MER

  4. 9. The Characterisation and Continuous Measurement of Potential Harvestable Energy of an Environment

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Diran Bajwa; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Photovoltaic; Lux; Lux Metre; Energy Harvesting; PMU; Arduino; IoT; Fotovoltaisk; Lux; Luxmätare; Energiskörd; PMU; Arduino; IoT;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is based around the use of energy harvesting in systems, specifically for a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh testbed. This BLE mesh is located in a well lit lab and is currently powered by mains electricity. Systems such as the BLE mesh are considered Internet of Things (IoT). LÄS MER

  5. 10. Experimental studies of radiation damage in uranium nitride

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Maria Giamouridou; [2023]
    Nyckelord :uranium nitride nuclear fuel; advanced nuclear fuel; uranium nitride fabrication; uranium nitride characterisation; Spark Plasma Sintering; proton irradiation; irradiation damage; TANDEM accelerator; irradiation induced cracking; irradiation induced hardening; irradiation induced swelling; hydrogen implantation; dislocation loops; kärnbränsle av urannitrid; avancerat kärnbränsle; tillverkning av urannitrid; karakterisering av urannitrid; Spark Plasma Sintering; protonbestrålning; strålningsskador; TANDEM-accelerator; strålningsinducerad sprickbildning; strålningsinducerad härdning; strålningsinducerad svällning; väteimplantation; dislokationsloopar;

    Sammanfattning : The effect of proton (H+) irradiation on uranium mononitride (UN) and UN compositefuel with 10 at.% ZrN (UN10at%ZrN) was examined. Protons of 2 MeV with fluences of1E17, 1E18, 1E19 and 1E20 ions/cm2 were accelerated towards the fabricated samples in orderto investigate the evolution of the micro-structure. LÄS MER
