  1. 21. Tribological characterization of a ball bearing subjected to an electric field : Electric drivetrain tribology

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Författare :Muhammad Umar Farooq; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Ball bearing; electric drivetrain; tribology; electric field; characterization; bearing currents; discharge;

    Sammanfattning : Electric machines are widely used in for instance the automotive industry in electric vehicles and in wind turbines. The electrical machines have mechanical bearings as an integral part used to transmit power and load. In addition, the main function includes reducing friction between interacting surfaces. LÄS MER

  2. 22. The functional anatomy of the crocodilian heart

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Biologi

    Författare :Jennifer Karlsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Anatomy; Cardiac right-to-left shunt; Cog-teeth-like valves; Crocodilian heart; Foramen of Panizza; Hemodynamics; Left aorta;

    Sammanfattning : Crocodiles are ectothermic, intermittent breathing reptiles with low metabolic rates. Additionally, they are diving animals that can stay submerged for long periods, which poses special demands on their cardiovascular system. The crocodilian heart is four-chambered with completely separated ventricles, making it unique among other reptiles. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Development and characterization of multi-streams heat exchangers for liquefaction cycle analysis in the contextof hydrogen mobility

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :WULLSCHLEGER LÉA; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Liquefaction cycle; multi-streams heat exchanger; Matlab; PROOSIS; AMESIM; ArianeGroup;

    Sammanfattning : This paper presents the master thesis work done at ArianeGroup on the development and characterization of multi-streams heat exchangers for liquefaction cycle analysis in the context of hydrogen mobility. In 2015, the Paris Agreements aimed at strengthening the global response to the threat of climate change by keeping the temperature rise below 1. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Ecological risk assessment of pesticide use in rice farming in the Mekong Delta , Vietnam

    Magister-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi

    Författare :Bubaraye Ohiosimuan Dirikumo; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Pesticides; Ecological Risk Assessment ERA ; rice farming; Mekong Delta; PRIMET Model; Exposure Toxicity Ratio ETR ; species sensitivity distribution SSD ; predicted environmental concentrations PECs ;

    Sammanfattning : Pesticide use in rice farming is a common practice in the Mekong Delta and poses ecological risks to aquatic organisms, the environment, and human health. This study focused on the ecological risk assessment of pesticide use in rice farming using the PRIMET model as a decision support tool to evaluate the risks of pesticide exposure, ecotoxicity, and risk characterization, as well as employing the species sensitivity distribution (SSD) assessment model to calculate the potentially affected fraction (PAF) of species based on the computed predicted environmental concentrations (PECs) from PRIMET. 5. 25. Characterization of Pressure and Velocity Fields in Acoustophoresis Using Particle Tracks

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysik

    Författare :Jonathan Karlsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Acoustofluidics; Acoustophoresis; Ultrasonic Standing Waves; Acoustic fields; Particle tracking; Bio marking; Akustofluidik; Akustofores; Stående Ultraljuds Vågor; Akustiska fält; Particle tracking; Bio-markering;

    Sammanfattning : This master’s thesis explores the possibility of calculating and using the pressure andvelocity fields responsible for acoustophoresis. The goal was to use simulated data,similar to two-dimensional particle tracks from a specific microfluidic platform, toestimate the force potential and solve the partial differential equation (PDE) thatgoverns the relationship between the force potential and the acoustic fields.
