    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to gain an understanding in children’s librarians usage of multimodal tools and different methods for expression in their work regarding promoting reading activities, in a public library context, and what effect these methods and tools have on the children participating in such activities. Questions posed are: What approaches to children’s theatre do children’s librarians express? What view of children do the identified approaches express?     Sammanfattning : Swedish children's reading abilities are decreasing according to the PIRLS 2021 results, which puts pressure on school librarians as they have a unique position in their work when promoting literature for children. But are school librarians’ given time during their workday to actually read the books that they are promoting?
