    Sammanfattning : The following study serves to develop consciousness about the smaller, not very well-known,emigration from the two southern Swedish cities of Växjö and Kalmar, which are situated inthe province of Småland, to Germany between 1865 and 1914. By using the digital archive ofEmiWeb, the gender, age and marital status of the emigrants have been analyzed and theyhave been categorized into three different social classes depending on the title or occupationthey had at the time of emigration.     Sammanfattning : This study examines the theme of hybridity in Charlotte Brontë’s novel Jane Eyre and Jordan Peele’s film Get Out. Both the narrative text in the novel and the script with visual elements of the film use the concept of hybridity through Gothic motifs: a mad non-white woman in the attic in Jane Eyre and a psychological place in Get Out, where members of a white family hypnotise black people in order to exploit their physical capabilities.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to see how historical films in history education can contribute to developing students' critical thinking about sources, historical consciousness, and various aspects of the uses of history. I showed a sequence of the film 1917 which is about the First World War, to a class of high school students who then worked on an assignment connected to the film and the purpose of the study.
