  1. 1. Investigating The Greek Higher Education Gender Equality Policy Landscape Under an Enhanced Critical Frame Analysis Lens

    Magister-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Umeå centrum för genusstudier (UCGS)

    Författare :Stavroula Sant-Geronikolou; [2023]
    Nyckelord :gender equality; critical frame analysis; WPR analysis; Greek universities; gender equality plans; neoliberalism; new managerialism; gender mainstreaming; counterhegemonic librarian;

    Sammanfattning : Despite the existence of a formalized set of EU strategies, problems seem to abound when it comes to the implementation of Gender Equality policies in universities. Specifically in the Greek context, the potential of GEPs to generate institutional and cultural change is highly contested. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Comparing various methods for improving resource allocation on a single node cluster in Kubernetes

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Abaied Sopi; Plotoaga Andrei; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Kubernetes; latency-critical; resource allocation; CRI-RM; Vertical Pod Autoscaler;

    Sammanfattning : When dealing with latency-critical applications in Kubernetes, a common strategy is to over-allocate resources to ensure the application can meet its latency guarantees during traffic surges. However, this practice often leads to resource underutilizationas the application will not fully utilize its reserved resources. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Human Rights Violations and Machine Learning - Cluster Analysis of Countries using the CIRIGHTS Dataset

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Statistiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Emilie Ståhle; Emilie Haubrich; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Human Rights Violation; Clustering; K-Means; Latent Class Analysis; Transition Matrix; Business and Economics;

    Sammanfattning : This master's thesis explores the use of unsupervised machine learning techniques to cluster countries based on their degree of human rights violations. Accordingly, the study evaluates the performance of two clustering methods, K-Means clustering and Latent Class Analysis (LCA), using two cluster validation metrics (Silhouette Coefficient and Dunn Index), as well as an Accuracy measure using the Human Rights index. 4. 4. United through Division: An Innovative Approach to European Monetary Policy : A Study of the Optimal Currency Areas in the European Union through Cluster Analysis Conducted on Samples Between 2007–2019

    Magister-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Nationalekonomi; Linköpings universitet/Filosofiska fakulteten

    Författare :Marinda Gadén; Alexander Granberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :European Union; Monetary Union; Cluster Analysis; European Monetary Union; Euro; Europäische Union; Währungsunion; Klusteranalyse; Europäische Wirtschafts-und Währungsunion; Euro; Europeiska unionen; valutaunion; klusteranalys; europeiska monetära unionen; Euro;

    Sammanfattning : The study deals with the theory of optimal currency areas complemented with the EU's Maastricht criteria in order to investigate how today’s Economic and Monetary Union of the European Union can be divided into smaller unions with countries that are more homogeneous based on said criteria compared to the current larger currency union. To investigate this, we use cluster analysis as the method easily enables analysis of similarities and differences between countries. LÄS MER
