This study investigates what perceptions exist on making such a constitutional reform, with the main focus on gaining greater understanding of how removing the British King as head of state of Jamaica being perceived as part of the process of gaining full independence. The United Nations (UN) peacekeeping operation MONUSCO has been deployed in the DRC since 2010, and that same year, the United States (US) established the Dodd-Frank Act with its Section 1502 concerning conflict minerals originating from the DRC.
