  1. 1. Robust Background Segmentation For Use in Real-time Application : A study on using available foreground-background segmentation research for real-world application

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Emil Brynielsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Image segmentation; Foreground segmentation; Background Segmentation; Remote guidance;

    Sammanfattning : In a world reliant on big industries to produce large quantities of more or less every product used, it is of utmost importance that the machines in such industries continue to run with minimum amounts of downtime. One way more and more providers of such industrial machines try to help their customers reduce downtime when a machine stops working or needs maintenance is through the use of remote guidance; a way of knowledge transfer from a technician to a regular employee that aims to allow the regular employee to be guided in real-time by a technician to solve the task himself, thus, not needing the technician to travel to the factory. 2. 2. Advanced Data Augmentation : With Generative Adversarial Networks and Computer-Aided Design

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Författare :Ludwig Thaung; [2020]
    Nyckelord :computer vision; machine learning; YOLO; GANs; data augmentation; object recognition; object detection; CAD;

    Sammanfattning : CNN-based (Convolutional Neural Network) visual object detectors often reach human level of accuracy but need to be trained with large amounts of manually annotated data. Collecting and annotating this data can frequently be time-consuming and financially expensive. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Developing robust algorithms for feature extraction in images of polymer layers

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Anton Wemmenborn; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Automated manufacturing processes are an important component of today’s industries. Assuming the processes are properly maintained they allow for great efficiency when producing various goods. Image analysis can be used as a tool to monitor such processes and evaluate their results. 4. 4. Classifying RGB Images with multi-colour Persistent Homology

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Matematiska institutionen

    Författare :Wolf Byttner; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Persistent Homology; Applied Algebraic Topology; Topological Data Analysis; Image Classification; CUB-200-2011;

    Sammanfattning : In Image Classification, pictures of the same type of object can have very different pixel values. Traditional norm-based metrics therefore fail to identify objectsin the same category. Topology is a branch of mathematics that deals with homeomorphic spaces, by discarding length. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Domain-Independent Moving Object Depth Estimation using Monocular Camera

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Robotik, perception och lärande, RPL

    Författare :Cesar Nassir; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Robotics; Deep Learning; Computer Vision; Depth Estimation;

    Sammanfattning : Today automotive companies across the world strive to create vehicles with fully autonomous capabilities. There are many benefits of developing autonomous vehicles, such as reduced traffic congestion, increased safety and reduced pollution, etc. To be able to achieve that goal there are many challenges ahead, one of them is visual perception.
