1. A cross-correlation analysis of a warm super-Neptune using transit spectroscopy
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomiSammanfattning : A study was made in order to deduce whether certain chemical species, namely water (H2O) and carbon monoxide (CO), are present in the atmosphere of the exoplanet WASP-107 b, which lies about 200 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Virgo. The project was carried out at Uppsala University at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. LÄS MER
2. Moon plasma environment and its implications for lunar space missions
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/RymdteknikSammanfattning : This study investigates the lunar plasma environment and its implications for the safety and success of future crewed missions to the Moon. The Moon’splasma environment, formed by the solar wind, galactic cosmic rays and solar flare particles, presents potential hazards to human life and property. LÄS MER
3. Machine learning and statistical methods in search of cosmic neutrino sources
Master-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för fysik och elektroteknik (IFE)Sammanfattning : .... LÄS MER
4. Spin correlations in top quark pair production at the Large Hadron Collider
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : In this work we investigate the spin correlation effect of the interference between signal and irreducible background events present in top quark pair production at the LHC at LO in the dilepton channel. To simulate the high energy proton-proton collisions of the LHC, MadGraph5_aMC@NLO framework is used as an event generator. LÄS MER
5. Geometry studies of high energy 16O collisions
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : In this project a model of oxygen, 16O, nuclei, where the nucleons are organised in α-clusters, was implemented in the Pythia Monte Carlo event generator. To study the effects of the new model, some observables, such as the distribution of the number of the wounded nucleons, charged particle multiplicity in the forward and central pseudorapidity region, and the pseudorapidity distribution for different centrality bins and eccentricity, are compared to the model originally implemented in Pythia (Woods-Saxon).
