1. A stakeholder-based analysis of potential photovoltaic systems’ contributions within the German government’s capacity addition plans to 2030
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The ongoing energy transition in Germany foresees significant increases in the share of renewable energies in the country’s electricity mix until 2030. A share of 80% is targeted and photovoltaics should have a major contribution with a total capacity of 215 Gigawatts aimed to be installed. LÄS MER
2. Techno-economic fesibility of a hybrid CSP (sCO2) - PV plant for hydrogen production
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : The global need to eliminate CO2 emissions and its consequent reduction in the use of fossil fuels drives the ongoing energy transition that highly involves the research achievements of the scientific community to reach the goals of this purpose. Renewable sources like photovoltaic and wind energy, are central to this endeavor, however, the intermittency of natural resources makes it non-dispatchable and energy storage is fundamental. LÄS MER
4. Climate change mitigation from biochar production at farm level : A time dynamic LCA study of wheat
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Agricultural production in Sweden account for a large contribution of the territorial GHG emissions. System optimization, fossil fuel removal and increased circularity is therefore of great importance in order to reach the national net zero emission target by 2045. LÄS MER
5. Production of 5-ketogluconic acid using recombinant strains of Gluconobacter oxydans
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (CI); Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master)Sammanfattning : 5-Keto-D-gluconic acid (5-KGA) is a valuable compound that has a wide range of applications in the chemical and food industries and is commonly used as a precursor for manufacturing tartaric acid (TA). Industrial production of 5-KGA through chemical approaches was practiced in the early 1920’s and was dropped immediately due to several drawbacks because of its complicated process that resulted in lower 5-KGA yield and higher accumulation of impure gluconic acid.
