1. Mängden död ved i värdekärnor i Söderåsens nationalpark
Master-uppsats, SLU/Southern Swedish Forest Research CentreSammanfattning : There is a lack of knowledge about the development of the dead wood in former production beech (Fagus sylvatica) forests that have been protected. The present study has been carried out in Söderåsen National Park to compare the distribution of dead wood in relatively unaffected beech forests that have been protected for a long time (A-value cores) and older, previously managed beech forest that has only been protected for 20-30 years (B-value cores). 2. PERCEPTION OF URBAN TREES AND THEIR ECOSYSTEM SERVICES
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskapSammanfattning : Global urbanization is one of the most wide-ranging, irreversible, and rapid land-use changes in modern history. Natural elements, such as trees, should be incorporated into cities to produce sustainable urban environments. LÄS MER
3. Trends in mountain birch seed abundance and its relation to temperature and moth abundance: a ten-year study from Swedish Lapland
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Instiutionen för biologi och miljövetenskapSammanfattning : Boreal forest is the world’s largest terrestrial biome. Being one of the most ubiquitous and coldtolerant tree species in Sweden, the mountain birch forms a unique deciduous treeline and marks the forest-tundra ecotone. LÄS MER
4. Sensitivity of Norway Spruce (Picea abies) to inundation.
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskapSammanfattning : Alteration of river flow regimes due to dams result in modifications of riparian ecosystem, with impacts on vegetation, landforms, and habitats. A key characteristic that differentiates riparian zones from adjacent aquatic and terrestrial environments is the event of periodic flooding and water logging. LÄS MER
