1. Juice/JDC ion measurement perturbations caused by spacecraft charging in the solar wind and Earth’s magnetosheath
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomiSammanfattning : In July 2031, a new chapter in the exploration of the Jovian system will begin with the arrival of the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) at Jupiter. Launched on April 14 2024 as part of ESA’s Cosmic Vision programme, the mission aims to study Jupiter and its icy Galilean moons Callisto, Europa, and Ganymede. LÄS MER
2. N-body simulations of exoplanets and their moons
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : The planet-planet interactions in a many-planet system cannot be analytically calculated. Instead, they have to be investigated by using an N-body simulation. I discuss three questions about the N-body interactions in planetary systems: The first two are on the system 55 Cnc, a system with five known planets around a K-type star. LÄS MER
3. Robust Aircraft Positioning using Signals of Opportunity with Direction of Arrival
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/ReglerteknikSammanfattning : This thesis considers the problem of using signals of opportunity (SOO) with known direction of arrival (DOA) for aircraft positioning. SOO is a collective name for a wide range of signals not intended for navigation but which can be intercepted by the radar warning system on an aircraft. LÄS MER
4. Detection and Tracking of Elephants using Seismic Direction of Arrival Estimates
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/ReglerteknikSammanfattning : As human settlement expands into the natural habitats of wild animals, the conflict between humans and wildlife increases. The human-elephant conflict is one that causes a tremendous amount of damage, often to poor villages close to the savannah. LÄS MER
5. ESPRIT for DOA estimation
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för informationsteknologiSammanfattning : Radar is a tool that has had a tremendous impact since its discovery. This thesis evaluates an algorithm called ESPRIT. ESPRIT is used in radar to estimate the angles to detected objects. The angle of an object is referred to as its DOA (Direction of arrival). LÄS MER
