  1. 1. Design of Instrumentation & Control and Optical Table Instruments for the Divertor Flow Monitor Diagnostic at ITER

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysik

    Författare :Niklas Hermansson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Coherence imaging; fusion; optics; plasma diagnostic; polarization; spectroscopy; Zeeman-Doppler imaging;

    Sammanfattning : This master's thesis describes the process of the design and instrument selection for a future optical table, part of a plasma flow monitor diagnostic system at the international thermonuclear experimental reactor, ITER. The diagnostic system is designed to detect the presence of edge localized mode, low to high confinement mode transition of plasma, and plasma flow velocity in the divertor region of the reactor. 2. 2. Optimization of Heat Exhaust in the Edge of Tokamaks via Controlled Magnetic Stochastization

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Amit Kharwandikar; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Resonant Magnetic Perturbations; Tokamak; Divertor; Steady-state heat deposition; Power exhaust; Perturbation optimization; Resonant magnetiska störningar; Tokamak; avledare; statisk värmeavledning; värmeavledningen; störningsoptimering;

    Sammanfattning : The protection of plasma facing components from heat and particle overloads is paramount to ensure the operability and desired lifetime of magnetic fusion devices. The possibility of using external 3D magnetic perturbations to improve the steady-state heat exhaust in diverted tokamaks has been studied in this thesis. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The Mapping and Visualization of Deuterium in Surfaces of Plasma Facing Components

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Axel Trange; Jonas Widegren; [2018]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In this paper we discuss how the spatial distribution of deuterium and especially its depth distribution can be determined and visualized for Plasma Facing Components (PFC). The main incentive of the project is to find attractive ways of presenting the distribution. Common ways of presentation are cross sectional 2D images. LÄS MER
