Kandidat-uppsats, Södertörns högskola/Institutionen för kultur och lärandeSammanfattning : The aim of analyzing Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment and Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness is to study the symbolic undertones of each work from a Jungian psychoanalytical perspective. My thesis revolves around the archetypical story of man versus himself, that is to say, man versus psyche: his own demons personified as a reflection of nature and therefore the environment. LÄS MER

Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för genus, kultur och historiaSammanfattning : The aim of this study is to investigate how the female author, Charlotte Brontë, describes the development of her female protagonist in Jane Eyre and to compare this to how the male author, Fyodor Dostoevsky, describes the development of his male protagonist in Crime and Punishment, inside the patriarchal 19th century. 10. Filosofi och litteratur : en studie av förhållandet mellan filosofisk litteratur och skönlitteratur och dess betydelse för kunskapsutveckling ur ett didaktiskt perspektiv.
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Institutionen för humanioraSammanfattning : What is the relation between literature and philosophy and what can we learn from it? Is there something about the novel and its language, fiction and narrative that separates it from philosophical litterature? In what way is knowledge about this useful to us, and is it possible to use fiction for the understanding of philosophy? This study makes an attempt to shed some light on the by no means obviuos distinction between philosophy and literature. The aim is to understand what, if in fact there is something that separates philosophy from literature, there is about the distinction that makes it possible for us to separate the ideas in literature from philosophical ideas, and in what way we can use the novel, or fiction in its widest meaning, to understand philosophy.
