    Sammanfattning : The Dublin Regulation in its current form sets the criteria and mechanisms for determining which state is responsible for examining an individual’s asylum application within the common territory of the Member States. Countries located on the outer border of the European Union, along some of the more frequently used travel routes for migrants, have reported an un-proportionate pressure, due to the material rules in the Dublin Regulation.     Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to analyse and discuss the prospects for an implementation of the European Commissions’ suggested reformations to the Dublin Regulation, based on the models of flexible integration: multi-speed, concentric circles and à la carte integration. To achieve this six different potential scenarios are constructed with regards to several premises, an example of which are the actual implications of the proposed reformations, the goals regarding integration expressed by the Commission, the political climate within the EU and the models of flexible integration.
