    Sammanfattning : This thesis tests how 16 approved mergers which were subjected to an ex-ante investigation by the Swedish Competition Authority (SCA) between 2000-2015 affected consumer prices through a synthetic control methodology.     Sammanfattning : The EU merger control regime, like most jurisdictions, requires the pre-notification of concentrations that meet certain thresholds and prohibits the implementation of a concentration before the Commission has declared it compatible with the internal market.
