  1. 1. Stomach data from pelagic research survey bring new information in cod feeding pattern in the South-Western Baltic sea

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. Of Aquatic Resources

    Författare :Federico Maioli; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Eastern Baltic Cod; diet; stomach data;

    Sammanfattning : Pelagic and demersal cod (Gadus Morhua) specimens were collected respectively during a pelagic and a demersal survey in the Eastern Baltic sea in the fourth quarter of the years 2015-2017. Stomach contents were analysed and compared for the purpose of evaluating differences in the diet among pelagic and demersal specimens. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Diet overlap between Cod (Gadus morhua) and European Flounder (Platichthys flesus) in the central Baltic Sea

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. Of Aquatic Resources

    Författare :Kevin Haase; [2018]
    Nyckelord :diet overlap; diet; cod; gadus morhua; flounder; platichthys flesus; Baltic Sea;

    Sammanfattning : The Baltic Sea is a frontrunner in ecosystem analysis and assessment, which have been used also in multispecies fisheries management advice. In the Baltic Sea, the multispecies assessment and management advice have been focused on the pelagic interactions between cod (Gadus morhua), sprat (Sprattus sprattus) and herring (Clupea harengus), by virtue of their well-known ecology. 3. 3. Effects of population size and environmental factors on habitat choice and migration patterns of the Eastern Baltic Sea cod (Gadus morhua callarias) : consequences for stock assessment

    Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för livsvetenskaper

    Författare :Victoria Forsberg; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Feeding Migration; Spawning Migration; Salinity; Oxygen supply; Temperature; Scientific trawl surveys; ICES assessment reports; Födomigration; Lekmigration; Salthalt; Syretillgång; Temperatur; Vetenskapliga trålningsundersökningar; ICES uppskattningsrapporter;

    Sammanfattning : The subject matter of this Bachelor´s thesis is the Eastern Baltic Sea cod. A literature review has been done regarding how environmental factors such as salinity, oxygen supply and temperature but also the size of the cod populations affects the migration patterns and the habitat choice of the cod.
