   Sammanfattning : High tide flooding (HTF) is becoming more common in coastal regions of the United States, although this phenomenon remains largely undocumented in published literature from other parts of the world. No matter the emissions scenario over the next decades, sea level rise (SLR) is projected to continue worldwide until at least the end of the 21st century, continually pushing the frequency and severity of HTF.    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the exposure of the coastal population of Kalimantan, Indonesia changed as a result of coastal mangrove loss and population growth. The change of exposure has therefore been calculated through the loss of mangrove biomass, through deforestation and degradation, over time, as well the increase in population living within 10km2 of disturbed mangroves.
