1. Transverse Momentum Spectra in pp collisions (\sqrt{s}\) = 7 TeV and \(\sqrt{s}\) = 13 TeV in ALICE
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikSammanfattning : In this project particle production as a function of transverse momentum (\(p_{\rm T}\)) in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy (\(\sqrt{s}\)) of 7 TeV and 13 TeV has been studied. The transverse momentum is interesting to study since it reflects momentum created in the collision (before the collision, all momentum is in the beam - going in a longitudinal direction) and therefore gives information on the collision dynamics. 2. A Sane Voice amidst the Madness : The Prehistory of the 2023 World’s Stance on the Verge of a Nuclear War between the East and the West as a Logical Aftermath of the Post-Cold War History. How and Why Do We End Up in a State of a Cold War Again?
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Teologiska institutionenSammanfattning : “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” ― Albert Einstein Today we live in very interesting times for researchers but at the same time very dangerous for the whole human existence and our planet. 3. Beyond the Gross-Pitaevskii Equation: A Perturbative Approach
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teknisk fysik (CI)Sammanfattning : We propose and implement a beyond Gross-Pitaevskii approach based on Many-Body Perturbation theory (MBPT) for the study of Bose-Einstein Condensate (BECs) ground states. Two partitions of the system Hamiltonian are considered. LÄS MER
4. On the emergent relative distancebetween quantum systems
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : In an emergent spacetime framework where relative distances between quantum systemsare determined by the mutual information between the systems, an entangled pairmust be shown to have a non-zero distance even though its mutual information is maximalby virtue of being maximally entangled. This report shows that in fact an entangledpair is only maximally entangled in some degrees of freedom such as spin, and when oneintroduces other quantum degrees of freedom the mutual information is no longer maximaland so a non-zero distance can be recovered. 5. Forward-Backward Multiplicity Correlations for Proton-Proton Collisions with ALICE at LHC-CERN
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : This thesis presents the study of two-particle pseudorapidity correlations in pp-collisions at √s = 13 TeV using the ALICE detector at LHC, CERN. The correlation function was calculated as a function of multiplicity and was repeated for several multiplicity classes and different charge combinations in the forward-backward and central regions of the detector, respectively.
