    Sammanfattning : This study explores how municipalities in Sweden interpret and apply the Social Services Act in their provision of eldercare, specifically in their original place of residence, which has been their responsibility since the 1992 elder care reform. While implementation was voluntary, over 152 of the 290 municipalities had implemented LOV by 2022.     Sammanfattning : Background: In 1946, a proposal was made for a law on national pensions with the aim of reforming the pension system and giving pensioners better finances, which later was implemented at 1948.     Sammanfattning : The objective of this Master’s thesis is to expand scholarship on ageing and eldercare through the lens of queer gerontology; to develop said scholarship on the queering of eldercare through the experiences of LGBTQ+ seniors and LGBTQ+ certified eldercare practitioners. Through four interviews with LGBTQ+ seniors and abovementioned practitioners, the core findings of the thesis put to question the collective subjectivity that is LGBTQ+ seniors, as neither LGBTQ+ informant thought of sexuality as an identity, but rather a practice.
