21. Trigger-Level Multiple Electron Event Classification with LDMX using Artificial Neural Networks
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Artificial neural networks is a powerful tool for classifying and identifying patterns in large amounts of data. One of the possible tasks of these networks is classification of data into categories. LÄS MER
22. Long-Lived Particles from exotic Higgs decays at the FCC-ee
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/HögenergifysikSammanfattning : This thesis presents the first sensitivity analysis for exotic Higgs boson decays at the electron-positron stage of the Future Circular Collider (FCC-ee) within the FCCAnalyses framework. The project studies the production of a Higgs boson in association with a Z boson in electron-positron collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 240 GeV, with the Higgs boson decaying into two long-lived scalars and the Z boson decaying leptonically. 23. Data Reduction and Analysis with the MPRu instrument for Neutron Emission Spectroscopy at JET
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : This research project centres on advancing data analysis techniques using the Magnetic Proton Recoil Upgrade Neutron Spectrometer (MPRu) for neutron emission spectroscopy during the deuterium tritium experimental campaign (DTE2) at the Joint European Torus (JET). The study aimed to address three pivotal questions, each with implications for optimizing data accuracy, quality, and utility. LÄS MER
24. ATLAS Inner Tracker Upgrade for HL-LHC: Silicon microstrip detector metrology
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be upgraded to the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) by the end of this decade, with five times larger luminosity and 200 inelastic collisions per proton-proton bunch crossing. Thus, the ATLAS detector is challenged to survive the stronger radiation and the increased particle flux. LÄS MER
25. Evaluation of whole-body bone scans performed using a gamma camera with Cadmium Zinc Telluride detector
Master-uppsats,Sammanfattning : The bone scan is a common nuclear medicine imaging procedure that is mainly used for evaluating several oncological patient groups. A radioactive tracer, 99mTc -labelled diphosphonate, is injected intravenously and accumulates in the skeleton. The distribution of the tracer in the body is measured with a gamma camera 3 hours post-injection. LÄS MER
