21. Development and Validation of an Analytical Method for Phenolic Acid Extraction from Cereals and Quantification using HPLC-UV
Master-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för kemi och biomedicin (KOB)Sammanfattning : Cereals are rich in phenolic acids, a group of secondary plant metabolites that are associated with reduced risk of chronic diseases. The objective was to develop and internally validate a method for extraction and quantification of phenolic acids in cereals using HPLC-UV and to apply this method for quantification of the content of phenolic acids in several species of Swedish cereals. 22. Potential of Steam Pretreated Jerusalem Artichok Stem for Ethanol Production
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)Sammanfattning : To reach the goals set for the reduction of green house gas by the European Union the use of fossil fuels has to be reduced. To do this alternative fuels such as bioethanol have to substitute fossil fuels. LÄS MER
23. Enzyme-aided production of lipid emulsifiers from side-streams of the food industry: rapeseed press cake and oat oil
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master)Sammanfattning : The goal of this thesis project was to utilize side-streams of the food industry, namely rapeseed cake and oat oil, by enzyme-aided production of lipid emulsifiers. The first objective was to extract lipids from the rapeseed press cake and increase protein yield, by adding an enzymatic step to the already existing protein extraction procedure developed by the food department of Lund University. 24. Co-pretreatment of spruce and poplar for ethanol production - Effects of mixed feedstocks on pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis efficiency
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)Sammanfattning : Oil is very important for today’s society and the transportation sector is almost completely dependent on this material. Unfortunately, it affects the level of greenhouse gases negatively which in turn contribute to global warming. LÄS MER
25. Development of characterization methods for lignocellulosic biogas substrates
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)Sammanfattning : As the need of environmentally friendly alternatives to fossil fuels is growing bigger, so is the need for knowledge and research around possible new raw materials that could serve that pur-pose. One discussed product is biogas. LÄS MER
